We’re not requiring a UTM for this first race, but races 2 & 3 will likely require one. In this first race, you have the chance of winning a super nice UTM included in the All-in-One Adventure Racing Toolkit from Brooks Range Mountaineering if you win 2nd place in the 3-4 person coed division, or 1st place in either 2 person open or coed division. So, race on and win so you are already prepared for races 2 & 3!

AND, I’m going to go get some bratwursts (mmmm…. bratwursts) from Whole Foods, who will be sponsoring our post-race party by providing the food for our racers and volunteers. It’s gonna be a heck of a post-race party!

Hey everybody,
Don’t forget to head over to REI for our “Adventure Racing in the Front Range” clinic that the BMA team is putting on tonight. Thanks to REI for hosting. We’re all looking forward to it! If you plan on coming, you should try to register online, for there’s limited seating. In fact, I just checked, and there are only 15 spots left.

James and I had an easy rest day at Fox Run. We rode our bikes around and explored a new park that we’d never been to before. It’s a nice little place–a good family outing kind of park. I’d been feeling low on electrolytes, so I also grabbed my Nuun to try to replenish. Gosh, that stuff is good! It’s not sweet and “cakey” like so many other electrolyte drinks out there. I see how so many of the AR pro’s can drink it for days on end in their multi day races. And it plugs me full of electrolytes…something that’s usually hard for me to do. I’m definitely going to use my supply up this summer as the workout days get warmer. Can’t wait for that warm weather!
