Turn Left to descend down the columbine upper, middle, and lower all the way to the finish.

The 5k will not have an aid station except at the start/finish line.

The 10k has an aid station at about mile 2.5 into it. This is at the top of the climb for the 10k. This is also the only aid station for the 10k.

The Half will go to the same aid station as the 10k (2.5 miles), then get a 2nd aid station around mile 6.5, will pass it and return to it after a 2 mile out and back (mile 8.5).

Our aid stations are green! To reduce waste, bring your own reusable bottle for water at aid stations along the course. This reduces waste and environmental impact and falls in line with our BMARE philosphy. Rapid filling nozzles will be used so you don't waste precious time filling up.

Car pooling is encouraged to lower the impact on the environment. Racer Parking is first come-first serve @ Starsmore discovery center parking area. No parking in handicapped or coned areas. No parking up N. Cheyenne Canon beyond Starsmore or S. Cheyenne Canon Road ways. Overflow parking is at Cheyenne Mtn High School Lower Parking Lot. There will NOT be a shuttle provided for those parking in the overflow at the high school so be prepared for a warm up jog to get to check-in.

Sanctioned by US Track and Field and features chip timing! This is a beautifully scenic and inspiring mountain running course. The 1/2 marathon has adventurous and rugged single track, challenging hill climbs, and descents that open up to amazingly scenic views along dirt roads. The trail courses through mountains, stone hops a slow winding creek, crosses dark and historic tunnels, and offers a fast and exhilarating descent to the finish. Overall, the 1/2 marathon consists of 70% single track running and 30% wider trail and road.

The 10k starts off with a tough climb, but soon gives way to some fun single track switchbacks and stunning views. At this point the trail descends to a road, passing through a dark tunnel and eventually catching back up with the single track. Then it's on for a beautiful downhill to the finish. Overall, the 10K consists of 90% single track and 10% wider gravel road.

The 5k begins with an uphill climb of single track and switchbacks; the climb is tough but worth the effort. The halfway turnaround point offers an incredible view of the city, the mountains, and cliff sides- not to mention that it's all downhill from here. The 5K is 100% single track.
